This Privacy Policy describes how your personal information is collected, used, and shared when you use the Down it mobile application ("the App").

1. Information We Collect

The App collects minimal information to provide its core functionality:

a) Data You Provide

• Download URLs: When you paste a link into the App, it is sent to our server solely for the purpose of resolving and preparing the media content for download. The URL is not stored permanently on our servers after processing.
• Language preference: Your selected language (English or Arabic) is stored locally on your device only.

b) Data Collected Automatically

• Download history: Records of downloaded files (filename, size, date) are stored locally on your device. This data never leaves your device.
• Device information: Basic device identifiers may be collected by third-party advertising services (see Section 3).

2. How We Use Your Information

• To resolve download URLs and retrieve media content for download
• To save downloaded files to your device's storage
• To maintain a local download history on your device
• To serve personalized advertisements through Google AdMob (see Section 3)

How Down it Works

Down it is a general-purpose media downloader application. When you paste a supported link into the App, our servers process the URL to locate and prepare the associated media file for download. Once resolved, the file is transferred directly to your device and saved to your local storage. No content is hosted or stored on our servers beyond the brief processing time required to initiate the download.

3. Third-Party Services

The App uses the following third-party services that may collect information:

a) Google AdMob

The App displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob. Google's advertising services use cookies and device identifiers (such as Advertising ID) to serve ads based on your interests. This may include collecting information about your app usage and device activity.

You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting App Settings (Android/iOS) or visiting Google's Ads Settings.

4. Data Storage and Security

• Local storage: Download history and preferences are stored only on your device using encrypted local databases.
• Server processing: Download URLs are processed server-side to resolve media links. No URL data is retained after the download completes.
• HTTPS encryption: All communication between the App and our servers uses HTTPS (TLS) encryption.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. The only data shared with third parties is what Google AdMob requires to serve advertisements, as described in their privacy policy linked above.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, please contact us and we will take steps to remove it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:

• Access: Request a copy of any personal data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Uninstalling the App removes all locally stored data. For server-side data, contact us.
• Opt-out: Disable personalized ads through your device settings

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be communicated through the App or via email.
